Lainey Wilson, a GRAMMY®-winning and multi-platinum country singer, songwriter, and actress, has quickly become one of the most exciting names in music today. She won her first GRAMMY® for “Best Country Album” and is the reigning CMA and ACM “Entertainer of the Year.” Wilson is one of the few artists to win “Country Album of the Year” at the CMA, ACM, and GRAMMY® Awards.
She was also named “Female Country Artist of the Year” at the 2024 People’s Choice Awards and won “Country Song of the Year” for “Heart Like A Truck” at the 2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards, solidifying her as one of the hottest artists in the industry.
Wilson’s journey started 12 years ago in a camper trailer after leaving her small hometown of Baskin, Louisiana. She’s known for blending traditional country music with a modern, retro twist, a style she calls “Bell Bottom Country.”
Her unique sound and approach have earned her a spot in the Grand Ole Opry and Billboard’s Country Power Players “Record Breaker” award, recognizing her ability to break the mold in country music and establishing her as a rising star.
In addition to being a talented singer, Wilson is a sought-after songwriter, with credits for artists like Luke Combs, Flatland Calvary, and Ashley McBryde. Her album “Sayin’ What I’m Thinkin’” was nominated for CMA Album of the Year, and her single “Things A Man Oughta Know” became her first No. 1 radio hit. She’s since secured seven No. 1 songs, including hits like “Wildflowers and Wild Horses,”
“Watermelon Moonshine,” and the double-platinum certified “Heart Like A Truck.” She’s also collaborated on chart-toppers like “Never Say Never” with Cole Swindell, “Save Me” with Jelly Roll, and “wait in the truck” with HARDY, making her the top female country artist with the most No. 1s this decade.
Wilson made her acting debut on the hit TV series Yellowstone, playing a musician named Abby. She also showcased several songs from her album Bell Bottom Country, including “Watermelon Moonshine” and “Hold My Halo.”
Her live performances have further boosted her fame, drawing crowds worldwide, including shows in Australia, the UK, and Europe, as well as major music festivals like Stagecoach and Lollapalooza. Currently, she’s on her second headlining tour,
“Country’s Cool Again,” across North America. Her highly anticipated album Whirlwind will be released on August 23rd, and her latest single “Hang Tight Honey” is out now.
